‘Cross Cut’ 2022

Birdsong was replaced by chainsaws, chippers and generators. Piles of logs lined every street, path and fenceline, and wet bark, leaves and tape from the emergency services lay draped over them like streamers. 
Frantic organisation of arborists, truck drivers, and road crews - a mixture of volunteers, paid workers, experts and residents. It didn’t matter who - it was everyone. A swirling frantic mess of life and energy.
